The CT Tech performs advanced diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography equipment while delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.

You would ensure accurate imaging, patient safety, radiation protection, timely documentation, and excellent service throughout the patient experience.

This role reports to the Radiology / Imaging Leadership Team.
Essential & valuable skills gained (in this unit or in this department):

· Advanced CT imaging and scanning protocols
· Cross-sectional anatomy knowledge
· Contrast administration and IV skills
· Radiation safety and ALARA practices
· Critical thinking in emergent and trauma situations
· Collaboration with Radiologists and multidisciplinary teams
· Patient communication and comfort-focused care
· Quality assurance and equipment testing

(Unit / Dept.) Successes and Designation

· Supports high-quality diagnostic imaging services across the health system
· Plays a vital role in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient care
· Utilizes advanced imaging technology to assist timely diagnosis and treatment

(Unit / Dept.) Training & Onboarding Culture

· Structured departmental orientation
· Hands-on training with CT systems and protocols
· Supportive team environment focused on safety and growth
· Ongoing continuing education and registry support
 

Essential Job Duties:

· Perform CT scans according to physician orders and department protocols
· Verify patient identity, orders, history, and safety screening requirements
· Administer contrast media and monitor for reactions when applicable
· Position and monitor patients during procedures
· Produce high-quality diagnostic images and complete reconstructions
· Document exams, contrast usage, notes, and procedure details accurately
· Maintain equipment quality control and room readiness
· Assist with urgent, trauma, and routine imaging needs
· Follow all radiation safety, infection control, and attendance expectations
 

Qualifications:

· Completion of a formal Radiology technical training program approved by the AMA
· ARRT registered or ARRT eligible
· Licensed by the Indiana State Department of Health
· Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
· Ability to work flexible schedules and on-call rotation if needed
 

Licenses / Certifications:

· ARRT Certification or eligible
· Indiana State Diagnostic X-ray Machine Operator License
· CPR – BLS
· CT Registry preferred or progress toward advanced registry preferred
Schedule:
 

    FT ,  36 hr /week

    Nightshift routinely with start times between 5:30pm -7pm with flexibility required

    On call rotation required , must be able to be onsite within 1 hr 

    Holiday rotation, 2 holidays per year
