Job description

BMS CAT is a leader in disaster restoration. From initial clean-up to complete rebuilds, BMS CAT is there every step of the way. We work on multi-million dollar commercial projects as well as several thousand dollar residential losses and everything in between. Founded in 1948, we have a long-standing reputation as a leader in our industry.


Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead to join our team. This position is responsible for installing HVAC equipment, reading and interpreting plans, and following manufacturer specifications to verify installations are performed to the highest standard. The Lead will oversee the water mitigation, mold remediation and HVAC installation processes, ensure quality and efficiency, while adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines.


Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC equipment, including but not limited to air conditioning units, heating systems, ventilation components, and associated systems, following all relevant plans and manufacturer specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to ensure accurate completion and compliance with project requirements.
  • Lead and oversee teams on-site, delegating tasks, and providing guidance to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure all work complies with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Perform quality control checks throughout and after installation to ensure systems operate as intended.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and clients to address questions or concerns related to the projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during the projects.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of projects, including completed work, equipment used, and any deviations from plans.
  • Train and mentor junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and organized before, during, and after completion.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the organization.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installation, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Water mitigation/Mold remediation experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; technical training in HVAC systems is preferred.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Knowledge of HVAC installation techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.


Compensation

Your compensation will vary by experience level. This can be discussed during the first interview.

  • Base Pay Maximum: $40.00 per hour
  • Base Pay Minimum: $32.00 per hour
