Description
Position Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the efficient day-to-day operations of the organization. is a hands-on internal consultant who serves as the process expert on cross-functional projects. Leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and data analytics tools, the role identifies performance gaps, designs future state processes, and partners with teams to implement sustainable, measurable change. This specialist focuses on standardizing work, optimizing system configuration, and embedding a continuous improvement mindset across Service, Parts, Rental, and other key business units.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Primary focus will be on on-highway truck parts, processes, inventory and training.
  • Evaluate, map, and redesign processes - Assess current workflows, create current state (as is) maps, conduct root cause analysis, and, where appropriate, build future state (to be) workflows or collaborate with process owners to drive improvements that simplify tasks and eliminate waste.
  • Provide process expertise on improvement projects - Collaborate with appropriate individuals to scope, plan, and execute initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; quantify benefits and track realized savings.
  • Develop & monitor KPIs - Define key performance indicators, build dashboards, and routinely analyze trends to ensure gains are sustained.
  • Optimize ERP/system configuration - Act as the department's product owner for ERP and related applications; manage settings, test changes, and align system design with streamlined processes.
  • Facilitate change management - Drive stakeholder alignment, create communication plans, and coach teams through adoption of new processes.
  • Provide advanced data analysis - Use Excel, Power BI, and SQL to uncover insights, model scenarios, and support data driven decisions.
  • Train & mentor - Develop clear work instructions, job aids, and video tutorials; deliver in person and virtual training; guide junior analysts and field champions.
  • Support continuous improvement culture - Co facilitate Kaizen events with Project Managers, share best practices, and champion a problem solving mindset across branches.
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements
Required:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 6 years or more of progressive experience in departmental operations, process improvement, continuous improvement, or operations analysis.
  • Robust knowledge of company processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Oak) and advanced Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and basic SQL.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or comparable certification.
  • 8 years or more of departmental operations, process improvement, continuous improvement, or operations analysis. With 5 years being with MacAllister Machinery.

  • Skilled in developing Standard?Work, SOPs, and visual management tools.
  • Ability to develop and implement processes and monitor performance with key process indicators.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and listening skills

  • Works under general supervision. Employee acts independently to handle standard problems but usually report on such problems. More unusual problems are referred to a supervisor/manager
