Certified Network Security Camera Installation Technicians / Electricians

Position Overview

AAMS Enterprises Inc. is seeking experienced Certified Network Security Camera Installation Technicians / Electricians for a 3-6 month project in Indianapolis, Indiana. The primary responsibility will be installing the cabling infrastructure required to support network-based security camera systems.

Qualified candidates should have hands-on experience with Cat 6/Cat 6A structured cabling, low-voltage installations, cable pulling, termination, testing, and conduit installation. Depending on project requirements, technicians may also assist with the physical installation of security camera equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pull, route, dress, and secure Cat 6A network cabling throughout the project site.
  • Install structured cabling to support IP/network security cameras and related equipment.
  • Terminate and test Cat 6/Cat 6A cables, jacks, patch panels, and network connections.
  • Install conduit, raceway, piping, and cable-support systems as required.
  • Assist with mounting and installation of network security cameras and related devices.
  • Read and follow construction drawings, cabling diagrams, floor plans, and installation specifications.
  • Label and document installed cabling and equipment according to project standards.
  • Perform cable testing and troubleshoot connectivity or installation issues.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable electrical, low-voltage, safety, and job-site requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, network/security personnel, electricians, and other contractors.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and complete assigned work according to the project schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience with Cat 6/Cat 6A structured cabling installation.
  • Experience with low-voltage, telecommunications, network, or security camera installations.
  • Ability to pull, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot network cabling.
  • Experience installing conduit/piping is highly preferred.
  • Ability to use cable testers, termination tools, hand tools, and standard installation equipment.
  • Ability to read basic technical drawings and installation plans.
  • Ability to work safely from ladders or lifts when required.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Indianapolis, IN for the duration of the project.
  • Must possess applicable electrical, low-voltage, cabling, or industry certifications/licenses required for the assigned work and jurisdiction.
  • OSHA, BICSI, manufacturer cabling, low-voltage, or related certifications are preferred.

Project Details

This is a temporary project assignment expected to last approximately 3-6 months. AAMS anticipates a need for approximately 3 to 10 qualified technicians/electricians, depending on the project's installation schedule and workload.
