Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision directs overall operations and manages all aspects of the Cage/Vault operation, including hires, supervises and evaluates employees; implements departmental/casino policy; ensures adherence to regulatory requirements; troubleshoots and reconciles problems/issues; ensure operational accuracy and efficiency; and performs other duties as required.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Provides direction, establishes priorities, assigns tasks, coordinates work and/or monitors the work of other personnel.

Essential Functions: (This job specification may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all the duties that may be performed.)

Supervise overall Cage/Vault operations by establishing priorities, assigning, coordinating and/or monitoring the work of staff, including assigning tasks, scheduling employees and approving time off, administering corrective action, providing training and evaluating performance in order to promote smooth, efficient operations and excellent guest service.

Establish, maintain, evaluate and/or revise policies and procedures to be followed by department personnel in the course of daily operations in order to promote operational efficiency and costs savings.

Oversee the performance of staff, providing regular input regarding quality and quantity of work; provide employees with guidance and direction to correct deficiencies and improve productivity.

Ensure that audit exceptions are reviewed and resolved in a timely manner by interfacing with auditing staff to determine how the exception occurred and then working with cage/vault staff to correct the circumstances which led to the event so that cage/vault transaction errors are kept to a minimum.

Assure that manual and computerized documentation/records, such as exception reports, cash flow and balance reconciliation sheets are correctly maintained and expedited, in order to provide accurate current and historical information.

Respond to requests from other departments and staff in a courteous manner to provide information and resolve problems within the area of assignment.

Respond to guests' questions, using the Golden Touch customer service model, providing information about casino gaming promotions, special and other events and/or programs procedures outlined in the Quick Reference Guide in order to assist guests, advertise marketing campaigns and encourage guest attendance and participation.
