Job description

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Casing/Crating Transformer Assembler - 2nd Shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facility! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.
The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 per hour, plus a $1.35 shift differential.

What you'll do:
The Casing/Crating Transformer Assembler is responsible for performing the final assembly operations of electricity transformers according to prescribed standard methods and procedures.
In this function, you will:
Perform tasks across various work centers, including: Tank-up, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, cover bander, palletizing, and final assembly.
Attach and install critical component parts and sub-assemblies to transformer tanks (e.g., leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels, stencils, bands, etc.).
Anchor core/coil assemblies into tanks, ensuring precision and quality.
Execute various hand assembly, fitting, and adjusting operations with meticulous attention to detail.
Retrieve, assemble, and securely attach covers, maintaining consistent standards.
Conduct temperature checks, install and inspect components, initiate and troubleshoot leak checks, repair leaking units, and perform fluid checks to ensure proper oil use.
Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system efficiently.
Use small power hand tools as required, demonstrating proficiency and safety awareness.
Follow written communications, including operating instructions (VOP), BOM lists, production schedules, and WSRA.
Expertly rework nonconforming parts and products to meet quality standards.
Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.
Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.
Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.
Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the Nacogdoches, TX facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
