Job description

Job Summary
Positions are full-time and include benefits. Ideal candidates will have some natural gas industry experience but not required and be available for all shifts. Must be willing to work long hours, weekends, and holidays.
Position Expectations:
  • Dispatch from: West Alexander, PA
  • Paid weekly, automatic direct deposit
  • 50-70 hours on average per week, some weeks 90+ hours
  • No set schedule
  • 24/7 on call with crew rotation
  • Outdoors, all elements
  • Job types 8 hours, 12 hours, 18-36+ hours w/ rotation
  • 6 Paid Holidays (for hours worked)
  • 1.5x Easter, Memorial, July 4th, Labor
  • 2.0x Thanksgiving & Christmas

Requirements:
Accommodate work schedule, no set schedule, 24/7 on call with rotation
Must pass drug test and all pre employment requirements
Valid driver's license desired, not required

Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Participate in set ups & demobes; assemble required equipment/parts/pieces utilizing power tools and hand tools.
  • Operate equipment to job specifications, inspecting equipment, fluid levels, and temperatures and proper attachment usage.
  • Operate telehandler, skid steer, loader, man basket, (when properly trained) in a safe manner performing all pre/post operational checks.
  • Recordkeeping, including completing a job safety analysis, truck tracking spreadsheet, equipment checklist, time sheet, near miss report, etc.
  • Communicate effectively utilizing email, text, phone, hand held radio, and interpersonal communication.
  • Travel to field assignments, with work assignments continuing at times for periods of a day's duration or longer, according to project requirements and related factors.
  • Maintains a clean, organized work area.
  • Fuels equipment safely along with another employee, ensuring not to spill any fuel on the ground.
  • Utilize basic rigging when performing a lift, as well as using a tag line.
  • Monitor job operations ensuring project efficiency and safety.
  • Backing in and spotting trucks.
  • Follows all Standard Operating Procedures set by Costy's Energy Services.
  • Follow all Safety policies and procedures without fail.
  • Assist in operations in all seasons / weather conditions
Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and / or carry up to 50 pounds daily.
  • Ability to walk on uneven, slippery and muddy conditions
  • Ability to sit and / or stand for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours daily.
  • Ability to work out of doors in all environmental conditions.
  • Ability to operate and maneuver on and off an all-terrain vehicle throughout the day.

Will be subject to other physical activities required, to include climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and range of vision necessary to safely perform job functions.
