SUMMARY
Cashiers are responsible for collecting, balancing and depositing all cash and credit card transactions processed at cashiering location. Candidates must have reliable transportation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
โ€ข Exhibit a positive and professional attitude at all times.
โ€ข Able to perform responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
โ€ข Able to maintain departmental standards.
โ€ข Process cash, checks and/or credit card transactions.
โ€ข Reconcile and balance monetary transactions after each tour.
โ€ข Complete/balance all daily reconciliation logs.
โ€ข Update citizen information to record transactions.
โ€ข Perform research of citizen's plates/tickets.
โ€ข Forward escalation situations on behalf of citizens to customer care department/client(s).
โ€ข Schedule hearings for citizens.
โ€ข Respond to inquiries regarding all clients.
โ€ข Perform with high level of accuracy.
โ€ข Able to perform multiple tasks within the department.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
โ€ข High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
โ€ข One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
โ€ข Ability to use a Ten-key adding machine
โ€ข Excellent communications skills.
โ€ข Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume area.
โ€ข Must be available to work all shifts between the hours of 7:00am and 3:00am, Monday - Sunday
โ€ข Scheduling is based on the need of the cashiering site
โ€ข Ability to read, write, and speak English and/or Spanish
โ€ข Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide
โ€ข Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
โ€ข Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
