Summary:

Cage Cashiers are responsible for cash handling in the cage, and must be able to adhere to and follow Nevada State Gaming Control and in-house casino policies and procedures.

  1. Count in and balance cash drawer, using cage count sheet
  2. Complete sales transactions for cigarettes and other items
  3. Cash out Casino tickets for guests
  4. Add Free Play to Player's Cards as needed
  5. Sign up and issue guests Player's Cards
  6. Achieve company objectives in customer service by ensuring that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times
  7. Cash Sports Book tickets if the Sports Book is closed
  8. Pay out all jackpots to the manager on duty
  9. Conducts an inventory of all cash and its equivalents
  10. Answers incoming calls and transfer calls as needed
  11. Be knowledgeable of and able to explain/promote all Casino and Marketing events

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

 High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

 Previous cashier experience in a casino environment preferred

Language Ability:

 Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language

Math Ability:

 Excellent math skills; ability to calculate money accurately

Certificates and Licenses:

 Gaming Registration Card

Physical Requirements:

 Ability to stand for extended periods of time

 Reaching, bending, stretching, lifting up to 50lbs

 Ability to work in a noisy, smoky casino environment

 Ability to work in a small, confined, office-type setting

Knowledge/Skills:

 Excellent organizational abilities

 Ability to handle cash, calculate accurately, analyze, and account for cash and coin

 Excellent Customer Service skills
