Job description

Federated Co-ops, Inc. is looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Cashier / Deli to join our Isle Cenex team! As a Cashier / Deli, you will have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. This position's schedule will primarily include afternoon and evening shifts during the week and weekends. If you are outgoing, hardworking, and enjoy working with customers, we'd love to meet you!

Summary:ย Receives cash from customers or employees in payment for goods or services by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Cashier / Deliย include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Computes or re-computes bill, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due.
  • Makes change, cashes checks, and issues receipts or tickets to customers.
  • Records amounts received and prepares reports of transactions.
  • Reads and records totals shown on cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand.
  • Quotes price and describes features of items for which money is received.
  • Gives cash refunds or issues credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
  • Operates cash register by passing price coded items across electronic scanner to record price, compile printed list, and display cost of customer purchase, tax, and rebates on monitor screen.
  • Prepares and stocks food.
