Cashier / Counter Sales Associate — Restaurant Equipment & Supply

Restaurant City — Sarasota, FL, Starting at $20.00  per hour | Full-time or Part-time | Paid bi-weekly


Restaurant City is a restaurant equipment and supply company serving chefs, restaurant owners, caterers, and food trucks across the Sarasota area. Our showroom is busy, hands-on, and never boring — you'll help a food truck owner find a fryer in the morning and check out a chef restocking smallwares ahead of the weekend rush in the afternoon.

We're looking for a friendly, detail-oriented person to assist customers at our front counter, along with maintaining a clean, organized showroom to highlight our products. If you like a fast-paced environment, take pride in a well-kept showroom, and want a steady weekday schedule with real growth potential, we want to talk to you.

Schedule
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Overtime available
  • Saturday hours available
  • Part-time schedules considered
What You'll Do
  • Greet customers at the front counter and direct them to the right product or salesperson
  • Run the register and walk customers through checkout
  • Enter transactions accurately in our Point of Sale and payment processing systems
  • Stock shelves and keep the showroom clean, organized, and well-presented
  • Update price tags and product signage
  • Communicate quickly with team members and management to resolve customer issues
What We're Looking For
  • Friendly, team-first attitude and a commitment to first-class customer service
  • Strong attention to detail when entering orders and taking payment
  • Basic computer skills for POS data entry
  • Urgent, proactive approach — you see what needs doing and do it
  • Ability to follow all company work and safety rules
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Nice to Have (Not Required)
  • Retail/wholesale or restaurant experience
  • Experience with a food service or kitchen equipment distributor
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite and Gmail
Physical Requirements
