Position Summary
The US Payment Operations team is responsible for processing the accounts payable and cash management transactions for the Americas region. This position is primarily responsible for cash management activities including the review and release of all vendor wires, deal payments, completing FX trades or cash redemptions via online banking portals, and confirmation of bank account balances. The Payment Operations Coordinator also supports critical deal closing functions, including approving vendor onboarding tasks and payment requests. The ideal candidate has a strong operations and payment related background, proven track record for executing and completing work with competing priorities and quick turn-around times, and can proactively identify and resolve issues in workflow, or where discrepancies are noted. This candidate is detail-oriented, well-organized, and possesses strong communication, analytical and critical thinking skills. The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven and high volume environment and easily prioritize competing tasks for their work, and their direct/indirect reports while consistently producing quality results.
In-Office Requirement: 4 days per week
Responsibilities
Cash Management (70%)
  • Support the Payment Operations Manager with Cash Management activities for deal transactions including: providing advance notice for material payments, process amendments and wire recalls, monitor e-Serve/portal notifications, execute urgent money fund redemptions, respond to Positive Pay inquiries, and process stop payments for check transactions.
  • Support Cash Management Structures and vouchers approvals.
  • Manage transactions in the PeopleSoft Financial Gateway, review and confirm bank account balances prior to releasing internal cash structures, wire, ACHs and EFT payments and execute trade payments using bank portals.
  • Daily run, save, and review Peoplesoft gateway status reports and ensure transactions are processed properly.
  • Daily run and execute payments with DD payment types, execute payment in bank portal for multicurrency payments.
  • Coordinate payment release with APEX, Vistra and Juristax related to Mauritius wires.
  • Provide payment confirmation for wires, ACH, etc. with respective MT103/MT199 details.
  • Payment troubleshooting on failed ACH/Wires, OFAC/KYC reviews and liaise with banking partners.

Deal Payments (25%)
  • Assist with deal closing and funding transactions; review and approve deal related invoices, paying bank accounts and wiring instructions. Reviews require a strong understanding of bank account instructions (domestic and international) for further credit, intermediary or corresponding bank instructions, beneficiaries, IBANs and swift information.
  • Complete detailed reviews and approvals for deal and bank payments.

Other Responsibilities (5%)
  • Assist with supplier management onboarding and modifications.
  • Maintain SOP and SOX documentation, and training materials.
  • Continuous application of the processes and tools; identify and discuss issues with management.
  • Special projects as needed.

Qualifications
Education & Certificates
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance field preferred, along with relevant experience in related industry

Professional Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an Accounting, Banking or Deal Transaction environment

  • Strong communication, organization, time management skills, with a demonstrated track record in performance and accurate, timely task completion

  • Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft, Appian, and Microsoft Suite, preferred
  • Familiarity with bank portals to execute FX trades and wire transactions, preferred

Benefits/Compensation
The compensation range for this role is specific to Washington, DC and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000.
In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
