Essential Job Functions of the Investment Systems & Operations Lead:
  • Client Service Support: Provide cross departmental support and act as a liaison between Portfolio Managers, Traders, Compliance, Technology and Operations
  • Data Setup/Maintenance: Oversees security setups, maintenance, pricing and reviews back-office service provider data for accuracy.  Proactively reviews data integrity between the accounting system, OMS, and CRM systems.
  • Reporting and Control: Develop, generate and maintain ad hoc or custom reports.  Participate in both internal and external audit reviews and other regulatory reporting as needed.
  • Reconciliation: Oversee the reconciliation of client/fund accounts and assist staff to research cash and position discrepancies.
  • Fund valuation/accounting: Oversee and process the valuation for several collective investment funds.  Process daily NSCC transactions in accounting system.
  • Trade Support: Oversee the complete trading day process, including order entry and external matching with brokers for all domestic and international securities.  Provide proactive communication while resolving internal trade discrepancies and external discrepancies with custodians and brokers
  • Trade Settlement: Own all post-trade processing, including trade matching and settlement issues 
  • Cash Operations: Support day-to-day operational reporting and transaction needs of the Cash Operations team by processing cash reversals, cash disbursements and asset related cash.  Reconcile and affirm CCT's Daily Net Settlement wire with sub-custodian and bank. 
  • Treasury Operations: Oversee the reconciliation of CCT's four DDA's (Main trading account, checking, ACH & Wires, OMNI).  Communicate issues with CCT's bank and coordinate internal messaging.  Oversee ACH Debit and Lockbox capabilities with CCT's bank.
  • Proactively review current processes to identify areas for improvement and implement effective changes.  Help to create initial workflow documentation and identify updates for current procedures.
  • Provide back-up to other employees in Operations as well as other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities of the Investment Systems & Operations Lead:
  • Proven interpersonal, team oriented skills
  • Strong knowledge of securities transactions, applicable regulations, and internal controls
  • Self-starter with a strong initiative and ability to work independently
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Able to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever changing business needs and requirements
  • High attention to detail, excellent follow-through
  • Strong spreadsheet, database, and reporting skills.  Experience with Excel, Word, Access and Outlook
Required Education / Experience of the Investment Systems & Operations Lead:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Services, Operations, Treasury Management
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements / Travel:
  • This position is based in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • This position does not require travel.
$90,000 - $120,000 a year
The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.  Base pay is one component of Chevy Chase Trust's total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.
