Job Overview:
As a Counting & Contributions Clerk, this role will be handling different functions related to counting and receipt of the offerings during the Ministry’s services, classes, events and as needed. This position will complete functions related to the processing of cash offerings through our donation management software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive and reconcile offering collections, including verification of distributed and returned collection materials.
  • Process and organize donation envelopes by service, ministry category, and contribution type.
  • Verify, document, and reconcile cash contributions to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
  • Prepare and process bank deposits, including cash handling, check deposits, and Remote Deposit Capture (RDC).
  • Maintain accurate digital records by scanning and archiving offering envelopes for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Enter and post cash, check, and credit card contributions into the donation management system in a timely manner.
  • Provide assistance to donors regarding contributions, online giving platforms, event registrations, and ticket purchases.
  • Respond professionally to donor inquiries via phone and email, including support for Pushpay and other giving-related matters.
  • Receive, process, and maintain records for Missions package reimbursements and Net Funds contributions.
  • Collect and distribute incoming mail from the ministry reception area and P.O. Box.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies for Counting & Contributions operations.
  • Process transactions using portable credit card equipment for ministry sales and related activities.
  • Support front desk operations as needed, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and providing general administrative assistance.
  • Uphold confidentiality, accuracy, and stewardship standards in all financial and donor-related processes.
