What is a cash associate?

Cash Associates are professionals responsible for handling cash transactions, processing payments, and providing customer service, usually in a retail or banking environment. Their duties include counting money, managing cash drawers, processing deposits or withdrawals, and ensuring accuracy in all cash-related activities. Cash Associates also assist customers with inquiries and help resolve any discrepancies with transactions. You’ll also assist customers with account inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with security and anti-fraud protocols. Collaboration with other team members, such as tellers and branch managers, is common to ensure smooth branch operations and deliver excellent customer service. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential, as the role involves handling significant sums of money and sensitive financial information.
