Position Summary

Provides excellent customer service by accurately ringing up sales, receiving money, and giving back change to guests. Balances cash drawers and input in Mealtime at end of shift. Creates the "WOW" experience for guests of Quest. Performs high caliber customer service related to the front of house duties and interactions with students and staff. Cashier III works primarily in POS station, brew coffee, and stocking areas. Also will make coffee drinks and do some light prep and build grab and go items. In addition will assist in counting cash, assist with FOH inventory and ordering. Will also assist in training Cashiers I and II.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cascades the vision of Quest Food Management Services ensuring the Quest vision, values and founding principles are effectively communicated, understood and practiced.
  • Demonstrates commitment to Quest vision, values and missions through actions on a daily basis.
  • Provide efficient, friendly and prompt service to the students and staff.                                                          
  • Responsible for all accurate sales transactions.                                                                           
  • Responsible for daily count of register drawer at the end of shift and posting to MealTime system.
  • Assist manager with replenishing change in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for daily inventory order placing for front of house including bakery, disposable and beverage.   
  • Assist in overall sanitation and organization of line and surrounding areas.                                     
  • Maintain open, positive and effective communication with others.                                                                    
  • Perform closing responsibilities, storing and cleaning of all line items and restocking all areas assigned.            
  • Ensure that cashiers meet Quest standards for appearance and efficiency of the cashier station.          
  • Maintain and develop relationships with clients, guests and staff during events by using their names whenever possible and anticipating their needs.
  • Complete all side job and sanitation duties as assigned by station.
  • Make coffee drinks,  do some light preparation and build grab and go items
  • Assist in counting cash, FOH inventory, ordering and training Cashiers I and II
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of the business with the highest practical standards.                   
  • Follow all Quest policies and food safety guidelines. 
  • Report to scheduled shifts on time and in complete uniform.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements/Specifications

Education and Experience:  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cash handling and one year in lead cashier position

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in the food service industry working in schools / higher education
