Overtime may be required.HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE As a General Machine Operator, you will play an essential role in supporting bakery and packaging operations by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production equipment while ensuring products are packaged safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. Your flexibility, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will help keep production running smoothly across multiple departments.WHAT YOU WILL DO Review production information from the previous shift, including equipment performance and mechanical concerns.Perform a variety of duties in production, make-up, and packaging operations, including coverage for vacations and call-offs.Operate, clean, maintain, and perform changeovers on packaging and production equipment.Pack products on production lines when not actively operating equipment.Provide backup support for Set Up, Bagger/Robotics Operator, and Basket Unstacker positions.Perform Operator Driven Reliability tasks, including changing and adjusting belts and changeover parts.Monitor equipment performance and report issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel.Perform basic mathematical calculations needed for production operations, including percentages, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Remove trash and maintain clean work areas throughout the shift.Complete required production, quality, and food safety documentation, including HACCP and CTS records.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping standards.Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors regarding production status and concerns.Follow all Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures and safety requirements.Assist in sanitation and cleaning activities as assigned.Work in various departments as needed to support staffing and production requirements.Perform other duties as assigned.WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH Production Operators and Team MembersBakery and Packaging DepartmentsRobotics and Automation OperatorsMaintenance TechniciansQuality Assurance and Food Safety TeamsShift Supervisors and Production LeadershipSanitation PersonnelWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE (MUST HAVE)Ability to work a rotating 12-hour schedule, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.Ability to operate and learn a variety of production and packaging equipment.Basic math skills, including percentages, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to accurately complete production and food safety documentation.Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.Ability to follow GMP, HACCP, JSA, safety, and housekeeping requirements.Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift.Ability to frequently lift products weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Ability to train and work in multiple production departments as business needs require.IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE (NICE TO HAVE)Previous manufacturing, production, packaging, bakery, or food processing experience.Experience operating packaging, robotics, or automated production equipment.Familiarity with equipment changeovers, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.Experience working with HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.Forklift, pallet jack, or material handling equipment experience.Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers.Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.Equipment Used:Production and packaging equipment including SIG 2 Pack Wrapper, Klockner Cartoner, Fallas Case Packer, Wexxar and Belcor Box Makers, Label Applicators, Robotics Systems, Bread Slicers, Mixers, Conveyors, Pallet Jacks, Ovens, Basket Denesters, Moisture Analyzers, Salt Analyzers, Forklifts, and various hand tools.Work Environment:This position works in a manufacturing environment with minimal to moderate noise levels and climate-controlled temperatures. Employees may encounter wet or dry ingredients that can create slippery surfaces. The role requires continuous standing, walking, and repetitive movements throughout 8-12 hour shifts. Employees receive scheduled breaks based on department assignment, and overtime may be required to support production demands.Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
