Job description

Program:  HELP Webster Ave |3300 Webster Ave, Bronx, NY 10467

What You’ll Do 

If you want to use your Case Management skills to help struggling and vulnerable adults, this could be a great opportunity for you. HELP Webster Ave, located in the Bronx, New York, is a shelter for single adult women. As a Case Manager, you’ll provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed intake and assessment for your clients and track their progress in the CARES case management system. You’ll coordinate for and provide service linkages to medical and mental health care, immigration legal services, childcare, school registration and related services, ESL instruction, interpretation and translation services, and more. 

You’re a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, or equivalent skills and experience. 

  • Bilingual fluency in a second language, ideally Spanish/English.

  • Case management experience working with vulnerable people who have experienced significant trauma. 

  • Crisis intervention experience. 

  • Basic understanding of immigration laws and procedures. 

  • Great organizational skills and the ability to learn quickly and problem-solve under pressure. 

  • Strong computer skills required, with knowledge of CARES a plus.
