About the agency: Rainbow Services, Ltd. is a progressive, equal opportunity employer that provides comprehensive trauma-informed services to survivors of domestic violence and their children.

Reports to: Project Manager

Status: Full time, non-exempt

CASE MANAGER

Job Summary: The Case Manager provides case management and support for domestic violence survivors, including conducting intake assessments, safety planning, crisis intervention, advocacy, and referrals.

Duties:

  • Conduct intake assessments and re-assessments.
  • Collaborate with participants to create individualized service and safety plans.
  • Advocate on participants’ behalf with social service and government agencies.
  • Make appropriate referrals and provide follow-up, as needed.
  • Facilitate weekly domestic violence survivor support groups.
  • Document services and case information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide court accompaniment, as needed.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and supervision meetings.
  • Conduct general presentations on services provided by Rainbow Services to community partners.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual preferred, English/ASL, English/Spanish • BSW/BA preferred with 2 years related experience.
  • Priority given to those with case work experience in community-based settings and with crisis intervention, particularly supporting survivors of intimate partner/domestic violence.
  • Knowledge of DPSS, DCFS and other public systems desirable.
  • Interest in addressing social justice issues affecting families and vulnerable groups, and a commitment to the movement to end intimate partner violence.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. required.
  • California ID or driver license required.
  • Proof of current automobile insurance detailing coverage.
  • Proof of negative tuberculosis test is required and may be obtained after hire.
  • Live Scan criminal background check is required upon hire as a condition of employment.
  • 40-hour state-mandated domestic violence training required and can be provided upon hire.
