About the Position:

This is not a fine arts or IT programs design role.

The ideal candidate will provide Case Design support to financial professionals by applying advanced product knowledge to develop quotes and create illustrations. This individual will also conduct additional fact-finding to thoroughly assess client needs and deliver comprehensive support to agents. In addition, they will equip advisors with detailed illustrations and training designed to help drive sales.

This role is open to a fully remote work arrangement Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm CT. When working from home, employees must maintain a private and secure workspace to protect company equipment and correspondence, have reliable high-speed internet, remain present and responsive online, and minimize personal interruptions during the workday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide case design support through phone and Teams consultations, delivering creative, tailored solutions that align with plan objectives, health history, funding strategies, competitive positioning, and carrier-specific strengths.
  • Apply sound judgment, analytical thinking, and a high degree of independence to evaluate each case, develop recommendations, and clearly communicate conclusions to clients and advisors.
  • Evaluate insurability by aligning proposed insureds with carriers and products that best support client objectives. Develop original solutions and alternatives, identify the circumstances in which each recommendation is most appropriate, and provide alternative illustrations when needed to strengthen the quality of the solutions presented.
  • Document each interaction in the CRM system and complete timely follow-up activities for every case. Identify new opportunities and take appropriate action to capitalize on them.
  • Make proactive outreach calls to follow up on meaningful revenue opportunities. Connect with top advisors to share relevant information and guidance, and identify new ways to support and grow their business.
  • Contribute as an effective team player by bringing complementary skills and sharing valuable ideas, perspectives, and feedback that strengthen the Case Design Team.
  • Attend carrier meetings, participate in conference calls and webinars, and collaborate with fellow Case Designers and other channels to stay current on carrier and industry developments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • Thorough knowledge of life insurance products, planning techniques, illustration platforms, and CRM systems.
  • Strong ability to serve as an internal sales resource for retail life products within key accounts, partnering as needed with the external sales team.
  • Skilled at identifying case elements that require special attention and recognizing opportunities that may lead advisors to solutions they might not have otherwise considered.
  • Industry experience that supports the ability to speak the advisorโ€™s language and understand the competitive landscape, product positioning, and key product details.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a strong understanding of DBS, our advisors, and our products, services, and approach, while building and sustaining strong relationships with internal and external clients, vendors, and industry organizations to further expand DBSโ€™s presence and influence within the industry.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or professional training preferred.
  • Extensive experience providing sales desk support to agents in a BGA or home office environment.
  • Strong life insurance knowledge, preferably gained in a Case Design role or brokerage agency setting. Personal sales experience is not required but is considered a plus.
  • Experience with Winflex Web, Ensight, and Salesforce is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required

Certificates, Licenses, Registration

  • Life & Health License preferred or able to obtain within 90 days of hire.

The base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $75,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
