Job description

CASE is looking for a positive and detail-oriented design intern to support our team in creating engaging branding, packaging, and digital design experiences for our clients primarily in the beauty, wellness and lifestyle space. In this internship you will build your resume while gaining first-hand knowledge of brand development, digital and packaging design processes, and more.
As a CASE intern, you will:
• Work collaboratively with CASE design teams to build successful creative partnerships with our clients.
• Engage in internal briefings to gain a comprehensive understanding of project objectives and effectively communicate them to the team.
• Exercise design approaches that will inform thoughtful solutions, or validate design direction; refining concepts through a series of design iterations.
• Create print mechanicals for approved designs using client-provided dielines.
• Assist Packaging team in creating custom typefaces, vector graphics, and illustrations for client logos, labels, packaging products, and other branding materials.
• Work with creative teams to ideate and prepare layouts, storyboards and creative visuals.
• Execute design tasks with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Support the creative teams by conducting consumer, category, competitive and contextual research on a variety of topics.
• Attend client meetings and assist in presenting design concepts when possible.
• Provide assistance with various day-to-day studio operational tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Pursuing a BA/BS degree; previous internship experience in a creative environment (advertising agency or design firm) preferred.
• Dynamic, positive and solution-oriented with a talent for building relationships.
• Passionate about design, obsessed with the beauty/haircare/ fashion industries and familiar with the competitive landscape, with a desire to always know what's new and next.
• Highly-organized and detail-oriented, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exhibit a well-developed sense of aesthetics, as evidenced by a refined portfolio
• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and presentation software (Keynote, PowerPoint or Google slides).
• U.S. citizen or authorized to live and work in the U.S.
