This position involves research and developing leading edge product features. This position will highlight being part of an independent team who is responsible to research and guide the development team in new product features via new or existing technologies. We are seeking a Network Software Engineer to design and implement high-performance networking subsystems. Unlike a traditional Network Engineer who configures routers and switches, you will be writing the code that powers network stacks, proxies, load balancers, or custom data-plane applications

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Design and develop high-throughput, low-latency networking software and services (e.g., custom proxies, firewalls, VPNs, or protocol parsers).
  • Development and maintenance of products and functionality for various products.
  • Investigating and resolving issues in existing products or new products.
  • Research and developing of new product features using programming tool, not limited to C, C++, & Python.
  • Working in an Agile environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience using C/C++ or other equivalent skills for development.
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Experience with Linux I/O subsystem, networking is a plus.
  • Experience with Storage protocol, clustering design and development is a plus.
  • Experience with any AI tools or programming is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a remote team.
  • Self-motivated, able to identify and solve problems on their own.
  • Collaborate with the core engineering team to design scalable architectures.
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally and integrate other components into the solution.
  • Approach problems creatively and not just repeat the same mistakes made after them.
  • Effective communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willing and able to come into our Centennial, CO office during core business hours (10am - 4pm local) Tuesday - Thursday.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/K8s).
  • Experience using GIT, JIRA or an modern Agile development tools.

The above pay range represents Quantum's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Pay within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, knowledge/education, skills/abilities, internal equity, and budgetary considerations.
