Who we are

We are an established, privately-held custom plastic injection molding manufacturer with decades of experience delivering high-quality, precision-molded solutions. Operating a modern, certified facility, we proudly serve a diverse range of industries, including the automotive, consumer goods, and industrial equipment sectors. We pride ourselves on a culture of continuous improvement, manufacturing excellence, and providing end-to-end engineering support from design to final production.

Process Technician Role

The Process Technician is responsible for developing, monitoring, and optimizing injection molding processes to ensure consistent product quality, efficiency, and minimal downtime. This role involves troubleshooting complex molding issues, setting precise process parameters, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a high-volume custom manufacturing environment.

Process Technician Responsibilities

  • Set up, start up, and optimize injection molding machines to meet strict production and quality standards
  • Establish and adjust critical process parameters including temperatures, pressures, and cycle times
  • Troubleshoot complex molding defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, and burns
  • Monitor ongoing production runs and make real-time, data-driven adjustments to maintain part quality
  • Conduct process validation steps and accurately document standard operating conditions
  • Coordinate closely with Mold Setters, Operators, and Quality personnel to ensure a smooth production flow across the shift
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions for process-related issues

Process Technician Reporting Relationships

The Process Technician reports directly to the Shift Supervisor and does not have any direct reports. However, this position works collaboratively as a team player to assist Operators, Material Handlers, and Mold Setters as needed during shift operations.

About You

  • Possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (a technical degree is preferred)
  • Bring 3+ years of proven experience in plastic injection molding processing, specifically within a custom molding environment
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of polymer behavior, resin characteristics, drying requirements, and a wide breadth of materials
  • Exhibit advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and the ability to execute root cause analysis on the manufacturing floor
  • Show proficiency with automated systems and secondary equipment, including Cartesian or 6-axis robots
  • Maintain familiarity with cavity pressure systems, scientific molding principles, and advanced process monitoring software
  • Possess strong communication, time management, and organizational skills to successfully meet production deadlines under pressure
  • Demonstrate the flexibility to support afternoon shift hours, including participating in weekend overtime rotations
