Job description

Overview:

Responsible for the cart operations at the Denison Golf Club at Granville. Ensure that standards of quality in product and service are maintained.


Essential Job Functions:

Perform all duties according to the daily procedures set by the golf shop. Prepare all golf carts for day's play with pencils, scorecards, and sand for bottles.


Maintain cart storage and surrounding area in a neat and organized manner. This would include the front staging area of the golf shop.


Greet members and guests promptly as they arrive.


All play shall be set up immediately, as they arrive. All tee sheet play shall be set up at least one hour ahead of time.


Clean and stock each cart for the next day's use. Check fuel levels.


Maintain golf cart logs daily by recording cart usage for the day, as well as condition of the returning cart.


Assist in maintaining the facility by making sure balls are picked and properly supplied, the range picker is properly maintained and in good operating condition the buckets and balls are always washed after picking and placed in the dispenser, and the tee area clean and clear of all trash and debris.


Assist the golf staff with all events set by the golf program.


Any other duties assigned by the General Manager to enhance the golf operation

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be people-oriented; operate effectively under stress; be highly self- motivated; lead by example; reliably exercise sound judgment; provide excellent customer service; have strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills.


Must be comfortable in a highly fluid work environment; ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously; highly organized; ability to plan ahead so as to maximize efficiency based on available resources.


Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable through the University.
Ability to work weekends and holidays.
