Job description

Sid's Carpet Barn Inc., doing business as Curtis Allan Floor Covering in Southern CA, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team and contribute to delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic and supportive work environment. Flooring Knowledge and Outside Sales Experience is a requirement!

We are seeking a team member who brings the following strengths:

  • Experience: Need at least two years or more of Outside Sales experience in floor covering industry calling on property management companies and contractors
  • Ability to interact with diverse groups of people and communicate effectively and build relationships with customers
  • Someone who is energetic and motivated
  • Someone who continuously strives to grow their sales
  • Someone who can keep effective notes on customers along with having good follow-through skills
  • Someone who is positive and has a Can-do/Will-do attitude
  • Assist in other tasks and duties assigned by management

Other skills required:

  • Basic Math skills
  • Good eye for details
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency using windows, excel, outlook, word, etc.

Responsibilities:

· Meeting customers on site to help determine the type and quality of flooring needed for their project

· Order material & schedule installations

· Follow-up timely, promptly, and professionally with customers on all requests or problems

· Write up orders, manage the process of delivery of materials and oversee project to assure customer receives a 5-star experience through the entire process

· Answer phone calls and emails promptly

· Know how to measure for all types of flooring

· Ability to Bid jobs and projects for customers

This is a salary job plus commission and bonuses where earned. Must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes.
