Primary Objective:
To safely, accurately and efficiently handle various types of products for the purpose of receiving, locating or shipping. Product may include packages, cartons or palletized items. Safely operates a variety of powered industrial equipment in the distribution of laminate flooring.
Major Function and Scope:
  • Pulls products (bulk pallets using forklift or individual boxes manually), ranging from one small piece of flooring to a whole pallet, and transports from warehouse to docks using a lift
  • Picks product from rack locations
  • Performs Cycle Counts for picking and bulk locations
  • Audits pallets to ensure accurate order fulfillment
  • Complies with all company safety policies and procedures including participating in Zero Contact Forklift Program through daily inspection of Powered Industrial Equipment
  • Operate stretch wrap machine
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management

Knowledge, Experience, Certifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to become certified on all types of lift equipment (fork, reach truck, cherry picker picker).
  • Ability to operate on-board RF equipment preferred

Competencies:
  • Basic PC skills for data entry and familiar with use of email
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively, productively and professionally with team members, other departments, and external drivers
  • Must be able to work independently, without constant supervision
  • Excellent attendance, including punctuality, required
  • Must be an effective team member.
  • Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.

Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information:
  • Must be able to lift 50 - 80 lbs throughout the entire shift.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, push, pull and reach for long periods of time.
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift or amount of hours deemed necessary by management
