Job description

We're looking for experienced Foreman Carpenters who lead by example, take ownership of their projects, and know how to keep crews productive, safe, and focused on quality.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Foreman Carpenter, you'll be responsible for leading carpentry crews and executing retail construction projects from start to finish.
Typical scopes of work include:
  • Millwork, cabinetry, fixture, display, and décor package installation
  • Rough carpentry, framing, drywall, and interior finish work
  • Wall panels, trim, doors, hardware, and accessory installation
  • Retail remodels, tenant improvements, and store refresh projects

In addition to performing carpentry work, you'll:
  • Lead and coordinate daily activities of carpenters and assistant carpenters
  • Plan work activities and sequence tasks to maintain production goals
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and project schedules
  • Perform layout and ensure installations meet project requirements
  • Monitor workmanship and maintain high quality standards
  • Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, vendors, and store personnel
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and maintain a safe jobsite
  • Forecast material needs and communicate potential issues before they impact the schedule
  • Train and mentor less experienced team members
  • Help deliver projects on time and to customer expectations

What We're Looking For
  • 7+ years of commercial carpentry experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading crews or serving as a Lead Carpenter or Foreman
  • Experience with retail, commercial, tenant improvement, or remodel construction
  • Strong skills in framing, drywall, finish carpentry, fixture installation, and millwork
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Proven ability to lead teams while maintaining productivity and quality
  • Experience coordinating multiple trades in active construction environments
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel and stay overnight as project schedules require
  • Commitment to safety, accountability, and teamwork
