Job description

We're hiring at Carolina Decks ️ — Operations Assistant

Carolina Decks builds high-end composite decks, porches, patios, and outdoor living spaces across the Charlotte metro — and we're growing. We're looking for a skilled carpenter who takes pride in the details and wants to be the person who makes every project customer-ready.

What you'll do:
● Execute expert carpentry work and perform quality checks before the final walkthrough
● Repair minor damages so every project we deliver meets our high quality standards
● Apply the finishing touches on projects ranging from custom decks and porches to patios and firepits
● Repair drywall as needed to leave every home the way we found it — or better
● Perform final cleans so projects are spotless and customer-ready at handoff
● Deliver materials to job sites to keep our crews moving
● Drive a company work truck between job sites across the Charlotte metro

You're the last set of hands on the job before the customer sees it — the person who makes sure it's not just done, but done right.

What we're looking for:
● Proven carpentry skills and hands-on experience (deck/outdoor living experience is a big plus)
● Keen attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
● Ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently
● Excellent communication and teamwork skills
● Commitment to exceeding customer expectations
● Valid driver's license and clean driving record
● Able to lift 50 lbs and comfortably work from ladders

What we offer:
Competitive pay based on experience, a company work truck, steady full-time work with a growing local company, a supportive team that actually likes working together, and a role where your craftsmanship is what customers remember.

Serving Indian Trail, Waxhaw, Matthews, Fort Mill & the Charlotte metro
Full-time, Monday–Friday

If this sounds like you (or someone you know), apply now or send us a message. We'd love to meet you

Company Description

Carolina Decks started with a simple frustration: too many contractors in Charlotte were building decks like they were in a race — fast, forgettable, and gone before the first board warped.
We decided to do it differently. For over a decade, we've been designing and building custom outdoor living spaces across the Charlotte metro — decks, porches, patios, and firepits that are built around how each family actually lives. No cookie-cutter builds. No cutting corners. Just craftsmanship that holds up structurally, aesthetically, and over time. Carolina Decks
Today we're a locally owned, family-run company based in Indian Trail, running multiple crews on some of the biggest and best outdoor living projects in the region. We've grown because we run our business the same way we build: organized, intentional, and obsessed with the details. Materials show up on time. Schedules actually mean something. And when a homeowner walks out onto their finished project, it's not just done — it's done right. Carolina Decks
That last part is where you come in. We're not looking for warm bodies. We're looking for people who take it personally when the work isn't perfect — because around here, the final walkthrough is the whole point.
Build something that outlasts the workday. Build with Carolina Decks.
