Job description

Yukuskokon Professional Services (YKPS) is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team immediately. This position involves constructing and maintaining buildings and other structures at a remote exploration camp in Alaska.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, capable of working independently, and takes pride in producing quality work in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
  • Construct, repair, and maintain camp buildings and structures.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Perform framing, finish work, roofing, siding, flooring, and general carpentry.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Work independently while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Collaborate with other trades and camp personnel as needed.

Qualifications
  • Proven carpentry experience required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a remote camp environment.
  • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork.
