Position Overview

The Wooden Truss Assembler is responsible for assembling roof and floor trusses according to production schedules, engineered drawings, and company quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret truss design drawings, measurements, and work orders.
  • Select and position lumber according to specifications.
  • Operate pneumatic nail guns, saws, presses, and other truss building equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assemble trusses by placing lumber in jigs, verifying alignment, and securing joints with metal plates.
  • Inspect completed trusses for accuracy, structural integrity, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety rules, including proper use of PPE and safe equipment operation.
  • Assist with loading, staging, and moving materials as needed.
  • Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met.
