As a Tile Installer/Carpenter (Internally known as a Carpenter I), you'll learn from experienced tradespeople while supporting a variety of restoration and rebuild projects. You'll take pride in doing quality work that helps families and businesses get back on their feet.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CARPENTER

As a Tile Installer/Carpenter, you'll work alongside senior carpenters on projects that range from framing and drywall to painting, flooring, and finishing work. You'll help prepare and clean job sites, handle materials, and operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. You'll assist with installation and repair work, ensuring every task meets company standards for quality and safety. Some days you might help with drywall patching or trim work, while others could involve demolition or emergency repairs. You'll stay organized, communicate with your supervisor, and always keep safety front of mind. Every day is a chance to learn, grow, and contribute to projects that make a visible difference for our customers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in construction, carpentry, or restoration
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry, building maintenance, and job site safety practices
  • Proven tile installation experience
  • Flooring installation experience an asset
  • Proficient in using mobile devices and basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools and follow instructions accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
  • Reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn from experienced professionals
  • Valid full class driver's license and clear driver's abstract depending
  • Fit test and other safety certifications
  • Must be able to work overtime, on weekends and participate in rotating on-call schedule
  • Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators, safety footwear, and other required gear
