Job description

Carlex is seeking a HVAC/R Technician to join our first shift team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Complete regular daily inspection of key HVAC/R related

equipment plantwide

• Complete runtime and downtime HVAC/R Preventative

Maintenance as required plantwide

• Troubleshoot all HVAC/R related issues, establish root

cause, and complete required repairs

• Plan and implement corrective actions

• Working knowledge of industrial electrical, and

pneumatic systems

• Perform additional maintenance work as required

• Track time through work order completion

• Keep all work areas free of clutter and maintain tools to

ensure operability

• Complete any HVAC/R or Maintenance related tasks

assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or other member of

plant leadership

• Promote a team environment

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Technical Certificate or Degree from an accredited trade

school, college, or university highly preferred

Years of Experience:

• 5 + years of experience in the HVAC/R field preferred

Other Requirements:

• Current Universal Refrigerant handling certificate

• Regular and predictable attendance required

• Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and

programming issues as related to HVAC/R

• Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be

required as work load or projects dictate, including

weekends and holidays
