What you will have an opportunity to do:
BASIC FUNCTION: The Uniform Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the proper and smooth operation of the Laundry and Uniform Room operations.
  • Status: Full-Time
  • Availability: Full Availability
  • Pay: $21 per hour.
  • Location: Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • This is a working Supervisor position who will work alongside of the Uniform and Laundry Attendants.
  • Responsible for all training of Uniform and Laundry Attendants.
  • Responsible for issuing, tracking, organizing, washing, and pressing uniforms for all uniforms and linen such as sheets, napkins, tablecloths, and terry.
  • Assist with conducting quality audits to ensure all items are in good condition. Replace worn garments as needed and record linen and terry discard.
  • Ensure that there is always a well-maintained par level of all inventory.
  • Conduct inventory and submit order recommendations to the Rooms Operations Manager so that par levels are always maintained.
  • Assist employees with uniform issues ranging from quality, sizing, and fittings.
  • Coach and counsel Laundry and Uniform Attendants, as needed.
  • Assist with performance reviews for Landry and Uniform employees with the guidance of the Rooms Operations Manager.

What are we looking for?
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous supervisory experience in hotel housekeeping or Laundry preferred.
  • Experience in the hospitality or laundry industry required. Preferably in Laundry or Housekeeping operations of a hotel.
  • Basic computer skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel required. Microsoft Word and PowerPoint experience desirable.
  • Computer experience with an Inventory system desirable.
