Job Description

Responsible for answering the phones, scheduling appointments, taking medication refill requests, taking phone messages in a clear, concise, and complete manner, and transferring calls when appropriate to the sites and emergency calls to the Call Center nurses. Also updates patient demographic information with each call. The duties include:

  • Patient & Employee Relationships: Interact with patients and employees in a respectful manner consistent with the mission and values of CareSouth Carolina.
  • Greeting: Greets patients and other callers respectfully and compassionately.
  • Answering Phone: Routes calls and takes messages in a clear, concise, and complete manner promptly and courteously following CareSouth Carolina procedures.
  • Appointment Scheduling - Re/scheduling: Schedule and reschedule appointments for patients following existing CareSouth Carolina procedures.
  • Protected Health Information Confidentiality: Maintains compliance with all relevant confidentiality standards including CareSouth Carolina procedures, HIPAA, and Joint Commission accreditation standards.
  • Teamwork: Promotes teamwork within the Call Center and Harmony with the team.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of medical office experience is preferred

Monday-Friday, 40 Hours, Full Time(9:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.)
