Temporary Part-Time Adult Companion Caregiver in Milton, L9E 1B6
A lovely family in Milton is seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to support their 86-year-old mother while her primary caregiver, her daughter, travels for work for 6 days in November 2026. There may also be an opportunity to repeat the care period approximately every 3 months, based on the family's needs.
The caregiver will provide companionship and home aide support, with a focus on meal preparation and serving, monitoring blood pressure and blood sugar levels, helping ensure medications are taken as directed, and providing light assistance with mobility as needed. The mother uses a walker and cane.

Start Date: November 2, 2026
End Date: November 7, 2026
Length of Position: Temporary, 6 days, with the possibility of repeating the care period approximately every 3 months based on the family's needs
Schedule: Part-time, 5 hours per day
Typical Needs:
Monday, November 2 through Saturday, November 7: 10:00 AM-3:00 PM
Compensation: $35 CAD per hour
  • Prepare breakfast and warm and serve lunch
  • Assist with insulin injections before breakfast and lunch
  • Ensure medications are taken after meals
  • Monitor blood pressure daily around noon
  • Regularly monitor blood sugar with glucose monitor
  • Provide companionship and engage with her, including while watching TV
  • Provide general home aide and light mobility support as needed
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of paid, professional caregiving experience
  • CPR certified or willing to obtain certification
  • Experience assisting with insulin injections is preferred

  • Ability to pass a background check and social media screening
  • Provide 2 professional care-related references
  • Romanian-speaking provider preferred, but not required
