Entry Level - Caregiver / Helper

We have immediate openings for full-time, part-time, and live-in caregivers.
A caregiver job can be very fulfilling as it gives you a great opportunity to help clients with basic tasks like going to the store, planning and preparing meals, and sometimes just being available to talk. If this sounds like something you would enjoy, we believe the Visiting Angels' office in Wichita Falls could be the place for you. The office in Wichita Falls provides caregivers for more than 6 counties including Seymour, Bowie, Vernon, Graham, Quanah and many other cities in North Texas. We are seeking one-of-a-kind individuals for job opportunities with our local team. Our caregiver jobs aren't for everyone; only for those who are truly committed to providing compassionate care to the elderly and those in need. We scour the entire North Texas region for people with a history of community involvement and, most of all, big hearts. We understand that you might be coming from a wide variety of careers ranging from customer service to a waiter or waitress, server, maid, bartender, or even part of a school staff. Those selected for a caregiver job at Visiting Angels Wichita Falls may be asked to support their clients with a wide range of responsibilities from light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation to one-on-one mobility assistance and providing transportation. Caregiver Responsibilities
  • Help clients take prescribed medication
  • Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.)
  • Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
  • Help clients with routine exercises
  • Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
  • Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop
  • Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own
  • Be a pleasant and supportive companion
  • Report any unusual incidents
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
