Job description

The Cardiovascular Technician (RCIS/Rad Tech/CST) is responsible for meeting the needs of the Invasive Cardiovascular Services Department. The technologist will assist the physician as a scrub assistant, procedure circulator, recording technician, and as needed in the Invasive Cardiovascular Services Department or any other area. The technician will engage in learning and assisting in invasive and non-invasive cardiac testing. The technician will develop a working knowledge of all equipment and procedures utilized in the care of the cardiac patient. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Graduate from Accredited school of Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or Surgical Technology required. Must be registered / licensed as a Radiologic Technologist, Cardiovascular Technologist, or Certified Surgical Technician. Radiologic Technologist hired for the EP Lab must obtain RCES within two years of hire.
Experience: Previous Cath Lab experience preferred. Working knowledge of sterile surgical technique required. One year experience with direct patient care required. One year experience working with computer systems such as windows and word perfect.
