Job description

  • * Serve as surgical first assist in the OR—harvesting radial arteries and saphenous veins with precision and skill
    • Deliver expert inpatient consultations for cardiac surgery evaluations and pre-operative workups
    • Collaborate with top-tier cardiovascular surgeons to provide innovative, exceptional patient care
    • Help drive the growth of a rapidly expanding regional cardiovascular surgery hub
    • Work at the top of your license and make a real difference in patients' lives

Qualifications:
Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current Michigan licensure as an NP or PA
  • National certification (ANCC or AANP for NP; NCCPA for PA)
  • DEA registration and Michigan Controlled Substance License (PA only)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certification
  • Minimum 2 years of OR first assist experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with vein harvesting and radial artery procurement
  • Prior experience working with cardiothoracic surgical teams
