Job description

Cardiovascular Surgery RN

As a Circulating Registered Nurse in our CVOR, you will be a vital member of the surgical team, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of patient care during complex cardiovascular procedures. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available and functioning correctly.
  • Assisting the surgical team with patient preparation and positioning, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Meticulously monitoring the patient's vital signs throughout the procedure, promptly reporting any changes to the surgical team.
  • Maintaining a sterile field and adhering to strict infection control protocols to minimize the risk of complications.
  • Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and providing proactive assistance to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Accurately and thoroughly documenting all relevant patient information, procedures, and observations.
  • Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborating effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nurses.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in the use of specialized CVOR equipment and technologies.

We are offering a $20,000 Sign-on Bonus and up to $10,000 in Education Assistance to new hires that meet eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • ACLS Certification required within 5 months
