Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Quality, performs the primary function of abstracting, analyzing and accurately reporting data related to cardiovascular patients according to established criteria. In addition, this individual is responsible for following all legal and regulatory standards in maintaining data reports to national registries for cardiovascular patients.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

  • BSN or Masterโ€™s Degree.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Training, Required Licensure and Certifications

  • Nursing license in the state of Ohio

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training

  • Certification in specialty or related area preferred.
  • Demonstrated competence in nursing specialty as evidenced by minimum of 3-5 yearsโ€™ experience as an RN in practicing specialty.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains smooth, cooperative working relationships with others with positive peer feedback.
  • Support, coordinate, and facilitate process and performance improvement within the cardiovascular service line as it relates to cardiac outcomes and opportunities within our external profile and the hospital throughout.
  • Expresses thought and ideas one-on-one and in teams while exercising good listening skills.
  • Positive while taking ownership for customerโ€™s problems while looking for ways to improve service. Applies knowledge and skills to do job and keeps informed about new practices and procedures Flexibility in work assignments and copes successfully
  • Attending all hospital required in-services and adheres to all hospital policies
  • Maintains specific core competencies to do job while practicing accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
  • Documents plans of care and collaborates with physician and team members to implement.
  • Reports data as needed to support the service line in a timely manner.
  • Completes daily and monthly volume reports.
  • Monitors ICD and carotid stenting processes for compliance
  • Other duties as assigned by management
