Our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) is at the forefront of cardiovascular care, delivering cutting-edge treatments and interventions to our patients. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic team.
Job Overview: As a Cardiac Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures. You will be responsible for operating specialized imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images of the heart and blood vessels. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with various cardiac conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization procedures.
2. Operate fluoroscopy equipment to visualize and guide catheter placement within the heart and blood vessels.
3. Monitor patient vital signs and assist physicians during procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
4. Obtain and process angiographic images, ensuring optimal image quality for interpretation by cardiologists.
5. Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
6. Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
7. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
8. Participate in on-call rotation schedules as required.
Qualifications:
1. Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
2. Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and California Radiologic Technologist license.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting preferred.
4. Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
5. Proficiency in operating fluoroscopy equipment and image acquisition systems.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
7. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
8. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
