- 2+ years of Cath Lab experience
- ARRT certification required
- Kentucky license required
- Candidates without a KY license will be considered if they apply immediately upon accepting the offer
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required
- Must be willing to float within scope of practice
Schedule
- MondayโFriday
- One rotating weekday off each week
Call Requirements
- 8โ15 call days per month
- 1 weekend on call every 3 weeks
- Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes for STEMI (heart attack) alerts
- Call team consists of:
- 2 Registered Nurses
- 1 Radiologic Technologist
Department
- 2 Cath Labs
- Rotation through the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
- Approximately 8โ10 procedures per day
- 6โ8 STEMI cases per month
Responsibilities
- Table panning
- Scrubbing diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures
- Assist with:
- Shockwave
- Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
- Impella
- EKOS
- Penumbra
- ACIST contrast injector
- Assist with device implants:
- Single-, dual-, and biventricular pacemakers
- Implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs)
- Perform peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Cross-training in EP procedures (ablations) available
- Physicians perform both radial and femoral (groin) access procedures
