Title
Cardiac Cath Lab / Vascular / Interventional Radiology
Schedule
- Call: 9-10 call shifts in a 6-week schedule (includes weekends)
- Weekend: Included as part of call schedule
Assignment Details
- Daily census: 16 patients across 3 rooms
Requirements
- License: GA RN or Compact license required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT(R) or CCI RCIS
- Minimum: 1 year clinical experience
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI).
- Conduct vascular and interventional radiology procedures including embolizations.
- Assist with the management and insertion of pacemakers/AICDs and temporary pacing.
- Monitor hemodynamics and recognize dysrhythmias.
- Establish central venous access using PICC, non-tunneled catheters, and ports, while maintaining sterile technique.
- Collaborate with rapid response and code teams as necessary.
Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 8 hours (number of non-billable orientation hours varies by contract length)
- RTO (Requested Time Off): Max 7 days per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
- Holiday work expectation varies depending on the number of major holidays during the assignment.
