(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Cardiology-NP - Cardiology Nurse Practitioner Northern New Mexico | Greater Santa Fe, New Mexico (Excellent Collaborating Cardiologist) New Graduates with Cardiology RN | ICU |PCU Experience Considered!
We are seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to work collaboratively with an established Cardiologist as a hospital employed Provider. The APRN would report to the Physician Practice Manager and be responsible for providing medical care to patients referred to the Cardiology Practice. The Provider would see an estimated 18 patients per day and the clinic hours are 8am-5:00pm Monday through Friday. The Provider would be responsible for evaluating and treating patients, providing post procedural care, able to recognize and interpret arrhythmias, manage patients with COPD, CHF and other heart related issues. Competitive Compensation including a base salary of $120,000+ with benefits including Medical, Dental, 401k with match as well as a signing bonus and full relocation package payable with receipts. Excellent opportunity for an experienced Provider or new graduate with meaningful Cardiology, ICU, PCU experience to work with a well respected Cardiologist that enjoys training and mentoring!
Responsibilities:
Cardiology
Demonstrated expertise in cardiac care.
Performs care for patients in accordance with the applicable New Mexico Practice Acts|Guidelines
Knowledgeable regarding all aspects of APC scope of practice.
Prepares for patient appointments by obtaining outside medical records, ancillary test reports or other records as designated by physician or APC.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Assesses the health status of patients through interviews and examination. Obtains and documents accurate and complete vital signs and patient chief concerns. Gathers medications, pertinent medical, family, and social history, and accurately documents all information in the patients medical chart.
Ensures all patient documentation is completed and entered into the EHR in a timely manner, in advance of patient appointments. Completes all charting prior to the end of business each day.
Participates in the development and modification of the patients plan of care.
Educates patients and families regarding their specific cardiac problems, management, and symptom monitoring.
Assists physicians in preparing and conducting office procedures. Removes sutures and changes dressings as indicated by care plan.
Will monitor and prescribe medications (as regulated by the state of practice).
Reviews medical necessity for acquiring data, testing and communicating information to patient or guarantor and obtaining necessary signatures.
Coordinates follow-up care including the tracking of tests and treatments.
Assists in obtaining prior authorizations for procedures.
Assist doctors|APCs in performing office based procedures.
Will perform Treadmill Stress Tests and read electrocardiograms.
Help to track, review and interpret laboratory test results, results of cardiac tests (i.e., exercise stress tests, stress echocardiograms, and CT coronary cardiograms) to patients.
Educate and inform patients of appropriate disease prevention and control.
Qualifications:
Current Unrestricted NM APRN license
Graduate of an Acute Care or Family APRN Program
Board Certified
ACLS | BLS
2 Years of APRN experience or 3 years as a Cardiology RN, ICU or Telemetry experience is required
