Pay Range:  $25.00 per hour
Length of Contract/Terms of Employment:  August 12, 2025-May 29, 2026

Position Summary:








The CFL and BUE Cardinal Club Teacher is responsible for monitoring students in the School Age Child Care Program.   Cardinal Club teachers are required to complete specific online trainings for before and after school caregivers through the Colorado Department of Early Childhood and will be required to have CPR and First Aid training.   
The CFL and BUE Cardinal Clubs operate Tuesday-Friday 6:30-7:20 a.m. and 3:15-6:00 p.m.  Cardinal Club teachers will be assigned to hours and locations depending on availability and student enrollment.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and supervise children in grades Kindergarten through 5 int the afterschool program

  • Coordinate games and activities for students

  • Assist students with conflict resolution strategies

  • Ensure all students are using equipment and supplies appropriately and safely

  • Communicate behavior concerns with parents/guardians and the Cardinal Club Director

  • Comply with CDEC regulations

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Ability:

 
  • Ability to manage a flexible and changeable schedule 

  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to staff

  • Ability to communicate effectively

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

 
  • Must be 16 years of age or older

  • Clear background check

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 
  • Experience supervising staff

  • Experience working with elementary students

 

Essential Physical Requirements:

 
  • Ability to supervise students indoors and outdoors
