Job description

The Division of Hematology and Oncology at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center seeks a fellowship-trained, Board Certified/Board Eligible Medical Oncologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join its Gastrointestinal (GI) Medical Oncology Program.

Position Highlights

The ideal candidate will have specialized training and a strong clinical interest in the treatment of adult gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary malignancies, along with a demonstrated commitment to clinical and/or translational research in these disease areas.

Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient oncology care at Loyola University Medical Center.
  • Participate in weekly multidisciplinary GI oncology clinics alongside surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, and radiology colleagues.
  • Develop and conduct clinical and/or translational research focused on gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary cancers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance patient care, research initiatives, and program growth.
  • Teach and mentor hematology/oncology fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree.
  • Fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology.
  • Clinical expertise in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary malignancies.
  • Demonstrated interest in clinical and/or translational research.
