Job description

What Pharmacy Operations Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers.
Pharmacy Operations Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Pharmacy Operations function.

This position is located at the La Vergne Specialty Pharmacy

Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:30 PM -10:00 PM (Hours subject to change based on business demands)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team across data entry, order verification, and fulfillment processes.

  • Provide direct support to clinicians, resolving order-related inquiries and ensuring timely medication delivery.

  • Partner with dialysis clinics to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes through streamlined pharmacy operations.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and service quality. ​


Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of experience in a pharmacy environment, preferred

  • Selected individual may or may not be a pharmacist; however, the candidate must be able to register with the State of Tennessee

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • Pharmacy Technician registration in the start of TN

  • National pharmacy technician certification preferred

  • Make decisions that have a direct impact to work unit operations and customers

  • Directly lead a team of pharmacy technicians and shippers; Indirectly lead a team of pharmacists

Anticipated salary range: $67,500-$86,670
