Job description

Responsibilities

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Patient Care Tech (CNA), preferably with recent behavioral health experience, to assist the professional, registered nurse (RN) in performing direct and indirect nursing activities for patients of various adult age groups. The Patient Care Tech (CNA) also provides for the general comfort, safety and well-being of the patients in our care and supports the general functions of the nursing units.

SummitRidge Hospital –is a place for Healing and Hope!  Our behavioral health psychiatric hospital is in Lawrenceville (about 25 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta).  We provide psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment to adolescents, adults, and seniors, in addition to partial hospitalization and other outpatient programs (includes a location in Athens).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Completion of nursing assistant course (or comparable certification); OR
  • Currently enrolled in an approved RN, LPN or EMT program and completion of nursing fundamentals course or equivalent, OR
  • Completion of nursing fundamentals course with documentation of completion from school
  • Good verbal communication skills
