Job description

Inova Loudoun Hospital has a PRN (as needed) opportunity available for a Registered Nurse to work in our Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program. Our ideal candidate has cardiovascular nursing experience (Cardiac, Cardiac Tele, Step Down or ICU), familiarity with ECG rhythm identification, and enjoys a multidisciplinary teaching and lifestyle coaching environment paired with clinical assessment skills. Fast-paced department and a very active role.  Team members will be standing, moving and teaching for majority of day

This unit is open Monday-Friday with no night or weekend requirement. Schedule will vary with shifts from 6-11 hours.  Candidates need to be available for initial 90-day orientation 3-5 days/week

Clinic hours: 

Monday/Wednesday/Thursday: 6.45a-6pm; Tuesday: 7.45a-5p; Friday: 7.45a-1p

  • Cardiac and Pulmonary is an outpatient lifestyle management program for individuals recovering from a recent cardiac event. 
  • All Inova Cardiac and Pulmonary programs are certified and align with AACVPR guidelines and practice initiatives. 
  • Candidates should be comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of nurses, exercise physiologists, respiratory therapists, registered dietitians and behavioral health providers. 

Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience as Registered Nurse required

Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.

  • If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required from American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ACLS strongly preferred
  • RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN

Preferred Qualifications: 2 plus years nursing experience with Cardiac Patients including-CV, CCU, Cardiac Tele, PCU
