What is a Cardiac Cath Lab?

A Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, commonly known as a Cardiac Cath Lab, is a specialized hospital unit equipped with advanced imaging technology to diagnose and treat heart conditions. Procedures performed in the Cath Lab often include angiograms, angioplasty, and the placement of stents to open blocked arteries.
